Inheritance..variation..genes?

___19. Which type of inheritance results in continuous variation - often a bell shaped curve - because genes at many loci are involved?

a) polygenic

b) autosomal dominant

c) autosomal recessive

d) X-linked

e) sex-influenced

Inheritance..variation..genes?
a. Polygenic

By definition, a polygenic trait is one involving genes at many different loci. Because these can occur in so many different combinations, a huge variety of phenotypes can result, not just 2 different ones like you'll see with simple dominant/recessive single-trait inheritance.
Reply:I think its B.
